Leize's love of dance began as a child performing
in ballet, tap and jazz recitals. In 2005 she found
herself in a Barika Tribal Belly Dance class and her
passion. Continuing her education in ATS with Trillium
and, thus far, attending invaluable workshops conducted
by Onca of Baraka Mundi and Mezmer Society, Rachel Brice and Unmata's Amy Sigil
as well as private lessons with Deb
Rubin has greatly improved her dance
and performance confidence and abilities.
Leize is Chief Financial Officer and founding member of Rakhshanda.

Along with these certifications, Leize is proficient in Rajasthani style dance and light stage combat, as well as several props: fan, scimitar, double scimitar, and veil. Incorporating palm torches and fire-eating adds to the excitement of her performances.

of the moment and sharing the unspoken connection
with her beautiful Rakhshanda troupe mate, Athena, and working very closely with Rakhshanda's student troupe, The Rakhettes.
She would not be the dancer she is today
without the unconditional love and support of her
husband of 20 years, Kevin, with whom she lives
along with her sweet mastiff, Graham.
