What the Collective Soul
Certification is:
This Certificate is a way to have formal recognition for your
hard work and dedication in learning this unique and versatile
style of dance. Our goal is to help you be the best dancer you
can be, and the Gypsy Caravan style format assists with learning
the basic dance language, how to best use your body as a dancer,
and how to be an ethical and creative artist. It has also been
a proven method in bringing the tribes together from around
the world, our Collective Soul.
In the Collective Soul Certification Program, you will:
• Improve your technique with Level One and Two moves.
• Learn new steps and refine the moves you already know.
• Build your confidence as a dancer, leading and following.
• Strengthen your improvisational skills.
• Learn rhythm identification, different zill patterns, and
dance with them!
• Participate in discussions about tribal bellydance history,
artistry, and integrity.
• Have a great time dancing together as a circle of women feeling
the community spirit of this dance!
What will happen at the end
of the session?
You will be tested at the end of the session, and if you pass
you will be certified in Gypsy Caravan's Level One Collective
Soul Tribal Bellydance Movement and Certification program! This
is a pre requisite for the Gypsy Caravan Teacher Training program
and will allow you to move into Collective Soul Level Two. Please
note that not everyone will pass the first time through this
course. Some dancers need extra time to practice so that not
only do they understand the dance moves, but that they understand
how to use their body and can communicate the moves. In the
event you do not pass at this time you can be re-tested at a
later date. No worries! It is an intensive program and some
of us need longer for additional study. We honor each dancer
with their own learning timetable; you can have the opportunity
to be retested when you feel ready by an agreed upon method
and fee.

This program has been in demand for years by the people who
cannot study at Caravan Studio with Paulette or her trained
instructors on a weekly basis. We are very excited about offering
Collective Soul right here in the Midwest. Dancers will have
a chance to learn by an intensive method in a fun environment
with wonderful personal attention.
What are the Pre-requisites?
Dancers must have some Tribal Belly Dance experience. You must
be familiar with the Gypsy Caravan format and style. Studying
the Gypsy Caravan technique DVDs are mandatory. DVD's are available
